The Economy's Impact on AV

Everything I read, I hear and I watch leads me to believe the USA is in an economic slowdown. My stocks (and everyone else's) have tanked. The price of heating a house, the price of food and the cost of eating out is all going up. The mainstream press is telling everyone we're in the beginnings of a recession by finding people in Washington, DC who will say that the economy is on the "verge of a recession". And, if they can't find anyone to say that, they say it themselves.

Well, about a month ago, I decided I would go looking for signs of a recession in the ProAV market.

Last week, I gave up.

The fact of the matter is that there isn't one, yet.

Although the stock of the dozen or so publicly-held companies in our market has all seen a major turn-down, the companies themselves are all hiring, busy and haven't yet seen a slowdown.
