Each and every June, INFOCOMM brings out the who's who of manufacturers, integrators, VARs, consultants and end-users in the ProAV market. This year's hoopla happens in everyone's favorite trade show town (joke): Las Vegas. And, you can almost be guaranteed that some manufacturer out there is putting together a reception with an Elvis impersonator thinking, 'this will be the coolest party at INFOCOMM'. OK, Las Vegas isn't really the best place to hold a show, but INFOCOMM has gotten so big that there are less than a half-dozen convention centers that can even hold the annual event. In fact, the 2002 show will be a repeat of 2001 when it stays in Las Vegas for a two-year run. After that, it's back to Orlando. Somewhere in the range of 30,000 people will converge at the Sands Convention Center to see the latest and greatest in ProAV and presentation hardware, software and tools. But, over 20,000 of them will miss the best part of INFOCOMM and not even realize they've done that. Why? Well, although INFOCOMM is certainly the premiere ProAV tradeshow - and a must see for anyone in the business, INFOCOMM's real power is in the education and training slate that the PETC (Professional Education and Training Committee), ICIA's INFOCOMM arm, holds every year before and during the show. This year's event includes over 100 seminars and workshops (a record number) that are all non-manufacturer, non-product specific educational offerings that are open to everyone to attend. Don't miss the opportunity to have a better understanding of the latest in technology, trends and techniques that have made the ProAV market unique to any other arm of technology. Want to know how to see a list of the seminars and workshops? Simple, just go
