InFocus was confirmed as the latest to exit the Projection Shoot-Out at INFOCOMM 2001 in Las Vegas June 13 - 15. InFocus made its decision today.

A spokeswoman explained that the company felt they had so many opportunities to meet with customers and communicate with attendeeds that they wanted to focus their efforts in the booth and in the suite.

"They want to spend as much time face to face with customers as possible," she said, "and they aren't able to do that in the Shoot-Out."

She confirmed that InFocus planned to exhibit from 10 - 12 products there.

Some industry insiders are estimating that the amount of entries to be shown at the Shoot-Out is down to between 50 and 60, and a number of those are products other than projectors.
