New Ball and Socket Projector Mount from Peerless Industries

The new Vector Pro from Peerless Industries, Inc. (Melrose Park, IL) looks like a winner. With a ball and socket mechanical design, it makes installation and positioning versatile but also provides security for the ceiling mounted parts.

It has few parts and fasteners and comes pre-assembled. It offers 360° yaw and all-around pitch and roll adjustment of 15° in every direction. Adjustments to the projector angle and removal of the projector for maintenance are streamlined with self-locating attachment points between the mount and the adapter plate. While this process, with many currently available mounts, often requires a “balancing act” and potential fumbling to place screws, the Vector Pro glides into place with a twist. Adjustments are set with one security screw, locking the projector in place for stabillity and protection of the equipment.

Peerless’ Vector Pro can be used in combination with a dedicated projector plate (made specifically for the projector), or with a universal adjustable clamp-style bracket. The Vector Pro is compatible with Peerless’ standard extension columns and ceiling plates. Other mounting accessories are offered to address various construction/mounting situations.

The Vector Pro will be available August 1, 2001. The List price for the dedicated kit (which includes mount and dedicated projector plate - as show on this picture) is $216.00.
