Point, Click & Wow! -- Chapter 5: Create High-Impact Slides
Page 9 of 11

Group Product Example 1: CMD Group
Below is a grouping of three slides from CMD Group's sales presentation.

Features. The first slide is the agenda slide. Depending on the client's need, the presenter would click on any of the three boxes and move to the first slide in that section. Also, down the left of the slide are icons. These represent individual products within each of the three sections. Depending on which product is being described, that icon will be colored and the others will be the same color as the background.

The second slide is an example of how you can easily add simple elements tothe background of title slides. The coin was added in the top right corner to signify that we are entering the Cost and Estimating Section of the presentation. This is the same image that is on the agenda slide.

The third slide is a creative way to show a comparison. Both the manufacturer and the building team have a lot of information to manage and the "information explosion" in the center represents this. Information specific to each group is then added to the boxes below their respective titles.

Helping the Presenter. Slide 1 makes it easy for any presenter to customize the speech. After the options are explained, the audience discusses their needs. Then the presenter can easily jump to the section that interests the audience.

Custom Charts and Shapes Example: Transchannel
Figure 5.26 is a "before" text slide from the Transchannel presentation. See its "after" version in the first slide in Figure 5.27.

Figures 5.27 to 5.29 show how we used shapes and charts to custom design their presentation. These charts and shapes are designed to educate the audience on the application service provider (ASP) industry.

Fig. 5.27b

Fig. 5.27c

Features. The first slide in Figure 5.27 shows the natural progression of the chain. This slide also allows the sales force to enter their own bullets, depending on the needs of the clients.

The second slide in Figure 5.27 shows a pyramid image. Not only is the information in the pyramid discussed, but also the levels are segmented to show the different markets.

The third slide in Figure 5.27 shows the crossover of the vertical and horizontal markets.

Helping the Presenter. Slide one is customizable so the presenter can find out the client's needs prior to the presentation and then add them underthe appropriate topic. Slide two allows the presenter to explain separately the top, middle, and small marketing opportunity segments. Each segment dissolves in. Slide three allows the presenter to transition into a discussion about the crossing of both vertical and horizontal markets. Here the presenter can also discuss how the client's market fits into this chart.
