InFocus
Corporation
InFocus Corporation. They have been very creative in developing
a network of companies to develop LCD projectors and networking
systems. We also point to the merger as a reason to keep watching.
They want to be the biggest and the best and they have the marketing
savvy to make it happen.
Christie
Digital
They have a line of projectors coming in 2001 that may take the
market by storm and some leadership in Randy Pagnan that will surprise
many.
Epson
As the world's largest raw component LCD supplier, they will continue
to be a major force and set trends in projector design, size and
performance.
MCSi
Given their mind-boggling growth, MCSi is obviously a company
to watch. Will they continue to grow? Will they be able to adequately
train this growing company to provide a consistent level of quality
across their many offices? Will they be able to maintain or even
grow their revenues, particularly if there is an economic slowdown
next year?
IMAX/DPI
IMAX has the worldwide reach it might take to get digital cinema
going quicker, and has just inked the first multiplex deal.
Barco
Barco has the technology and the industry connections to help power
digital cinema through to the market. This is the most likely of
the companies to make an acquisition that would make them more powerful
in the cinema industry.
WAVE
WAVE (World Audiovisual Enterprises) for the partnership of Mario
Porto and KBI Systems.
