CHICAGO -- Morningstar Inc., a provider of stock, and mutual fund investment information, recently got a new in-house television studio, installed by Production Craft, Inc.

The studio is now being used by Morningstar to provide daily streaming video broadcasts on its Morningstar.com Web site. In addition, the facility was designed to allow for television networks and stations nationwide to conduct live satellite interviews with Morningstar analysts and to receive taped feeds. It has already been used by major broadcast television financial networks CNBC and Bloomberg Television.

"In assessing the company¹s needs and how this studio would be used, we designed a user-friendly facility that allows for ease of operation and yet delivers a high-quality, state-of-the art product," said Jim Skvaril, PCI Project Manager.

The system incorporates a Sony DXC-950 camera on a motorized remote control head that can be operated from a nearby control room. In addition, the facility utilizes a Shure Model 44D Diversity UHF wireless microphone and a Vega RMT-10 wireless IFB system as well as a QTV FDP-11 teleprompter.

PCI also interfaced several DSS satellite dishes to allow Morningstar personnel to monitor broadcast placements.

"Production Craft worked with us to create a top-notch studio that gives us the ability to broadcast customized Morningstar investment news and commentary on television and the Web," said Tricia Rothschild, project manager for Morningstar. "With this technology, investors now have another, convenient way to receive Morningstar information that helps them make better investment decisions."

Morningstar broadcasts live from the PCI-designed studio can be seen atwww.Morningstar.com three times daily approximately at 9 a.m., noon and 4 p.m. central time, Monday through Friday.
